These incidents might be forgotten by you, now it is the time for us to regain our memory. Read it, think about it and decide about the future of our nation.
1) The Malacca State Government Attempt to Demolish Bukit China (1983) The Malacca state government launched a series of attempt to demolish and develop Bukit China with the support of few politic leaders on 5th of October 1983. With the lead of 15 Chinese Organization, Chinese people from nationwide strongly oppose the idea and want the purpose to be taken down. Finally the state government bows down to the citizen with agreement to ditch the development plans and then label Bukit China as a cultural protected area.
2) Operasi Lalang ¨C Protester Arrested, Publishing License Seized (1988) The year of 1987, Ministry of Education appointed servant who couldn¡¯t understand Chinese to manage the Chinese school (SJKC). The Chinese public felt uneasy and hold a conference at The Selangor and Federal Territory Hainan Association of Malaysia (Ììºó¹¬). During that time, the politic situation is extremely anxious. Najib even mentioned that he want to ¡°soak the malay keris with chinese¡¯ blood¡±. On the day of 26th October, the government cited the ISA ordinance and arrested 106 protesters as well as seized the publishing license of ¡°The Star¡±, ¡°Sin Chew Jit Po¡± and ¡°Watan¡± with the fault of ¡°intentionally create and amplify sensitive (racial) issue and violate the national security¡±. The license was given back to the respective company on March of 1988.
3) The Education Act 1996 (1996) After the 1995 General Election, the proposal of ¡°Education Act 1996¡± was created. Although the act did not separate the government aided school into ¡°fully sponsored¡± and ¡°half sponsored¡±, but the government servant force to separate the SJKC into ¡°fully sponsored¡± and ¡°half sponsored¡± without the agreement of parliament. 4) The Memorandum ¡°Su Qiu¡± described as Communist by Tun Mahathir (2000) The memorandum was handed by the Chinese organization to the Prime Minister before the 1999 General Election. It is initially agreed by the Barisan National Government but after the Generel Election, the Prime Minister described the request from the Chinese organization as communist behavior. The threat of ¡°burn down the Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall¡± was issued by the deputy leader of UMNO Youth at that time, Abdul Aziz Sheikh Fadzir.
5) Datuk Bandar KL ¡°Close Down KL Kwong Tong Cemetery¡± Proposal (2000) 22th December 1998, The KL Datuk Bandar issue an official letter to the committee of KL Kwong Tong Cemetery informing them that the cemetery will be closed down immediately. On 27th January 1999, with the involvement of MCA and few politic leaders, the proposal has been turned down. And Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting promised to the public that the cemetery will not be close for development for the next 10 years
6) Closing down of SJKC Damansara (2001) On the 12th of January 2001, the ministry of education ordered SJKC Damansara to be closed down immediately with the reason of ¡°high density causing noise & air pollution and traffic disruption¡±. The student was then redirect to study at SJKC Puay Chai 2. According to the report by environment department, the air and noise pollution of SJKC Damansara is under control and labeled as ¡°Safe¡±. 7) SJKC disrupt national unity progress (2001) Musa Mohamad and Hishammuddin Hussien, both suggested that the government must consolidate BM as the main education language and agree that having 3 genre of primary school is affecting the national unity. 8) Top Scorer Rejected by Government University (2003) 533 cases reported to the MCA Youth regarding top scorer at STPM was rejected to enter the government university. Representative Wee Ka Siong mentioned, during the 2002 STPM, there are 40 chinese students who scored full A (5 A), only 2 of the high flyers was chosen to enroll in Medical Faculty of University of Malaya, the remaining was then distribute to different institutions. The transparency and the enrolment policy are highly questionable.
9) Top Scorer¡ Rejected Again (2004) The matriculation result was announced on the 27th of May, top scorer who is also late generation of the infamous Confucious was top ranked in the nation. Yet again, his first choice of UM¡¯s Medical has being rejected, he was arranged to be enroll at USM Penang. There were also other top scorers being rejected for their first choice. Later, Pak Lah promised that they will be enroll in Medical faculty (did not mentioned any institution). The final arrangement was, 10 of them enroll in Government University, 19 of them given MARA scholarships, 50 of them enroll in Medical course at Sumatra, 40 of them to IMU Bukit Jalil and 9 of them to Perak Medical College.
10) Hospital Sultan Ismail is sick (2004) Hospital Sultan Ismail which cost a hefty 500mil. After operating for two months, it was closed after a serious contamination of the building by two deadly species of fungi. Faulty air-conditioning had apparently led to the aspergillus and penicillium fungi spreading throughout the hospital and contaminating equipment within. It appears that high humidity had led to the unusual growth of the fungi, which could lead to life-threatening health problems. 11) Public Money to Pay for Government Servants¡¯ Vacation (2005) What does RM10k mean to you? The national auditing department planning to spend 10k for the members¡¯ vacation to Egypt, with the absence of any official itinerary programs, the group will be only spending only 5 hours for their inspection which includes meetings with Malaysian students whom study at Egypt. The remaining time will be the ¡°free and easy¡± time and the group plan to spend a week there. After the exposure of plan, the public was highly angered with the fund wastage and finally the plan has been called off.
12) EPF announced 4.75% Interest (2005) Despite an announcement of national growth of 7% and the KLSE recorded an increase of 14% during 2004, EPF only announced that there will be only a 0.25% increase for the fund. However, Lembaga Tabung Angkatan Tentera (LTAT) will be having a 15.75% interest. 13) Pak Lah ¨C More SJKC, Less national unity (2005) MCA request of building more SJKC has been turned down by Pak Lah. The reason given by the Prime Minister was building more SJKC doesn¡¯t do national unity any good. The statement was on the cover page of major Chinese newspaper on the second day. A week later, Pak Lah clarify that he never came out with such statement before¡¡..
14) 40mil for ADUN Residence (2005) Menteri Besar clarify that the 10 bungalow is not only for the ADUN, whereas it is open for other high rank officers fof the state government. He denied that the cost of building the bungalow was the reported 40million and he stated that the project cost 21 million and PKNS will bear the cost. He emphasize that they won¡¯t be touching the rakyat¡¯s tax money for the project¡.
15) National Shame ¨C Parliament Leakage (2005) A 40 year old parliament building has never been this shame before. Despite the initial budget given was 50 million, but the final cost of the renovation was 85 million, it is 35 million over budget. 16) 1.2million Illegal Immigrant in Malaysia, National Security Threatened (2005) Malaysia is Asia¡¯s largest foreign labour importing nation, total of foreign labour hold 20% of the national manpower. There are approximately 1.5 million working in Malaysia legally and approximately 1 million working illegally.

18) Bumiputra Bank in 11 billion Debt (2005) Najib exposed that the government is facing problem that the Bumiputra PTPTN loaner is not paying back their PTPTN loan. For example, Bank Bumiptra is not facing a 11 billion debt, majority of those that didn¡¯t pay back is Malay.
19) GLC Bailout (2005) Bank bumipitra ¨C 1 billion, Perwira Bank ¨C 670 million, Bank Rakyat ¨C 700 million, Renong & UEM ¨C over 1 billion, Indah Water & MAS & LRT ¨C a total of 8 billion, PKFZ ¨C 4.6 billion. Over the decade, many GLC is facing serious financial deficit, government has spent hundreds of billion to bailout these companies.
20) Nude Squat (2005) Video of a women suspect squat wearing no clothes was spreading among the public. According to the suspect, the police force her to take her outfit off and then squat down for investigation. Later, the suspect sued the government & PDRM; ask for 10 million ringgit compensation.

23) Editor Sack for Misleading (2006) The description of nude squat victim as ¡°Lady from China, Chinese Lady¡± was criticized by national security department. Two editors from China Press were sacked from their position after the department find fault with them. Whereas, the Malay Press e.g. Utusan Malaysia, Berita Harian and New Straits Time continue using the above description, did not face any disapproval from national security department.
24) Toufu Project ¨C MRR2 ¨C Satu Lagi Projek Barisan National (2006) 31 from the total of 33 Pillar of MRR2 was found having cracks, vehicles which weight 4tonnes and above are prohibited from using the flyover. According to the report, the crack level is 0.2%, and will increase 0.1% annually. The report also mentioned that when the crack reaches 0.4%, the pillar might have the danger of falling down. 31) PM Cronies Shines in Business (2006) Pak Lah¡¯s son and son-in-law, Kamaluddin Abdullah and Khairy Jamaludin both shines in the business field despite KLSE announce that the economic growth has slowed down. When Pak Lah questioned by the press, regarding his son is getting a lot of project from the government, he clarifies that ¡°Tun Mahathir¡¯s son got more project than my son do¡.¡±
32) Scenic Bridge Project Scraped (2006) Samy Vellu indicated that government needs to pay compensation to two construction companies. One of them will be compensate with 100 million ringgit and another one with 250 million. Pak Lah instructed the construction company to start building the bridge on the Malaysian side without agreement from Singapore. However, the new custom building is still in construction. 33) Open one eye, close one eye (2006) Mohammad Said Yusof, MP for Jasin, had told Custom officers to ¡®close one eye¡¯ to illegal import of non-permitted goods. He did not consider that if the company is dealing with China and Taiwan, it will be difficult for the staff who can¡¯t understand Chinese to communicate with the counterpart from China/Taiwan.
35) BNM lose 30 billion in forex investment (2006) Former DPM, Anwar Ibrahim indicated that Bank Negara Malaysia has lose RM 30 billion during their forex investment during the perioud of 1992 to 1994. The person involve in the investment is former PM, Tun Mahathir, Former Financial Minister Daim and former deputy financial minister.
36) PM admits his son getting projects from government (2006) PM admits that his son¡¯s company, Scomi is getting a lot of projects and benefits from the government¡¯s project; he is willing to apologize to the rakyat. His son company turnover for 2001 was RM132million, 2004 was RM590 million and exceed RM1billion in the year of 2005. 37) Khairy: Chinese benefit from UMNO¡¯s division (2006) Deputy leader of UMNO Youth said that the Chinese public will benefit from UMNO continuous separation and urged the UMNO member must be unite. He also mentioned that the Chinese organization and Chinese political parties will come out with unreasonable request when UMNO weaken from the separation.
38) Rafidah to Pelabur/Investor: Tak Suka NEP, Jangan Mari (2006) Rafidah mentioned if the foreign investor is not satisfy with the NEP policy and the company will need to occupy the staff with 30% bumiputra, they can opt not to invest here, Malaysia will not beg them to invest here. Ironically, Pak Lah and Penang CM, Koh Tsu Koon were involved in the Motorola investment scandal, Highly-confidential correspondence confirms that the Penang state government (Koh) had asked the federal government (Pak Lah) to offer a RM1 billion project to Motorola in a desperate attempt to retain the latter¡¯s investment in the state. According to the agreement, under the deal, the government will offer a RM1 billion project to Motorola involving the upgrading of the police force¡¯s radio network. In exchange for this, Motorola agrees to stay put in Penang and pump-in an investment of RM350 million over the next five years.
39) Petronas and Chevron skipped tax (2006) The president of Chad (a country at central Africa) ordered oil companies US energy tycoon, Chevron and Malaysia Largest petroleum company, Petronas to leave the country, saying neither has paid taxes and his country will take responsibility for the oil fields they have overseen. The combination of Petronas(35%), Chevron(25%) and Exxon Mobil(40%) has invested about USD 3billion in the project, and get a profit USD 5billion within a 3 years period.
40) Khairy: Malays in Penang Marginalized (2006) Khairy complained that the Malays from Penang Island are marginalized. He also indicates that the Malays only involve in 7% of the ICT Field. He did not realized and mentioned that how non-bumiputra are marginalized in the government servants field and also local government universities.
41) Angkasawan to perform The Tarik at ISS (2006) The first Malaysian astronaut will be performing a Teh tarik show in the space with no gravity at ISS (International Space Station). The astronaut will ¡°tumpang¡± Russian¡¯s spaceship to the outer space and perform the show. Malaysia Air Force and Russie signed a deal to purchase 18 of Sukhoi Su-30MKM. As part of the deal, the Russians will send a Malaysian astronaut to the ISS. It is believed that the plan to send the astronaut to the ISS will cost RM96 million.
42) Ong Tee Kiat ¨C RM3000 worth of project cost the government RM30000 (2006) Ong Tee Kiat indicated that the renovation project of SJKC Kung Yu (Muar) is only worth RM3000. However, government did not question the bill of RM30000.
43) 38.5 Billion compensation paid (2006) According to Samy Vellu, PLUS and other major highway operator are compensate with RM 38.5 billion following government fail to increase the charges of the highway for 3 times. Samy Vellu also mentioned that after this compensation, the government will not interrupt the decision to increase the highway charges due to a large amount of compensation. DAP President Lim Kit Siang indicate that the government should not sign this ¡°unfair¡± agreement (highway operator is allowed to increase the toll fares every 3 years) with the highway operator. He also suggested that the government should takeover the highway company, PLUS and let the charges remain the same for the next 20 years as it will bring profit to the government and also lessen the burden of the road user.
44) Pork Stalls at Sg Petani Need to be Covered (2006) Local council of Sg Petani has instructed the stalls and shops selling pork or other non halal products that the shop need to be covered with black color glass. They also ordered the merchant that they must use black color plastic bags to pack the pork. According to the merchants, using this method will cause the meat to rot faster. Sarcastically, Kelantan which is rule by PAS, did not have these instruction, one of the biggest pork shop is located beside the busy bus terminal at Kota Bahru and does not have any cover, the pork is selling in front of the public. 95% of Kelantan population is Malay/Muslim.
45) Ninth Malaysia Plan ¨C 2 SJKC to be built (2006) With the drastic increase of students in SJKC at major cities such as Klang Valley, the government only plan to build 2 more SJKC under the 9th Malaysia Plan. Sarcastically, the government suddenly promised that they will build 6 more SJKC right before the parliament dissolved. Pak Lah and Ong Ka Ting deny that the promise is election candy¡¡.
46) Malaysia belongs to Malay (2006) Bukit Mertajam UMNO President Musa Sheikh condemned ¡°MalaysiaKini¡± report that Chinese merchant demand more equity from the government. Musa replied that the 30% bumiputra staff is Malay¡¯s right, it is Malay¡¯s country and Malay¡¯s law¡±, indirectly saying that the nation belongs to the Malay.
47) PM: ASLI report not accurate (2006) According to ASLI report, the total share of KLSE is worth RM720 billion, Bumiputra company own a total of RM330billion worth of share, which is equivalent to 45%. Pak Lah deny that the report is accurate because some GLC like TM, Tenaga and Petronas is belongs to the country instead of Bumiputra. DAP Leader Lim Kit Siang dispute that PM has no evidence to proof the report is inaccurate.
48) WGI: Malaysia Quality has drop over 10 years (2006) According to WGI (Worldwide Governance Indicators) Report, Malaysia Government failed to improve in 6 of the indication, which is Responsibility, Political Stability, Government Effectiveness, Legal System Quality, Law Enforcement and also Corruption. Besides, the International Transparency Index shows no improvement ever since Pak Lah becomes the prime minister. When Tun Mahathir steps down, Malaysia ranked 37, during Pak Lah¡¯s ruling, the ranking dropped to 39.
49) Kubang Kerian UMNO Deputy Leader Create and Sell Fake AP (2006) UMNO deputy leader, Abdul Ghani Mamat from Kubang Kerian, Kelantan was found create and selling fake AP over the pass 3 years. His benefit from his action is said to be RM500k monthly (500000 x 3 x 12 = 18000000). He denied the charges but he admitted the company which did the violation belongs to him; he then redirects all the charges to his son.
50) PM: Chinese made better living than Malay (2006) During PM¡¯s interview with CNN on the Asia Talk Show, Pak Lah told the host that all the success of Chinese Merchants in Malaysia are due to the opportunities given by the government e.g. Government Projects. Ironically, it is well known that the Chinese public has no chance to involve in the government project unless it is out source by the UMNO cronies. Pak Lah is not only lying to the host, he lied to the whole world and also Malaysia.
51) Istana Zakaria ¨CZakaria Dynasty in Klang (2006) Zakaria, ADUN from Klang has built a mansion which cost about 50-80million ringgit in Klang without the approval from local council. He also illegally built a Satay Restaurant across the road. Another Satay restaurant beside Zakaria¡¯s Restaurant was forced to close down because of the interruption from Zakaria and his cronies. All the charges against him, Zakaria, previously a KTM Gate Security, which include corruption and building illegal buildings was then dropped.
52) Indonesia FDI Overtake Malaysia FDI For the First Time Since 1990 (2006) Accoring to UN and UNCTAD report, the region of South East Asia create an exciting increase of 44.7%. However, Malaysia¡¯s FDI in 2006 has dropped significantly, recorded a reduction of 14.2% compare to 2005. In 1990, Malaysia¡¯s FDI is double of Indonesia¡¯s FDI, but in 2005 Indonesia¡¯s FDI is 24.5% more than Malaysia¡¯s FDI equivalent to 4.8 billion ringgit.
53) Pak Lah vs Tun Mahathir (2006) Tun Mahathir accuse his predecessor, Pak Lah for giving a lot of government project to his son, Kamaluddin Abdullah. Pak Lah then replied that the number of project which his son got is less than the number of Tun Mahathir¡¯s son got¡..
54) Pak Lah refusal to announce his and his families¡¯ property (2006) After being question by the press, Pak Lah refuse the request to announce his and his families¡¯ property, describing it as his right (to refuse) and denied that it is the question of transparency.
55) Malaysian Concept: Mission Impossible (2006) Abdul Gahni point out that ¡°the constitution emphasize that the separatation of Malay and non-Malay in this country¡± and then mentioned the idea to bond the Malay and non-Malay as Malaysian ethnicity is impossible. He then added that the idea is menacing the ¡°Ketuanan Melayu¡± (Malay Special Right). Lastly, he said that unless Malay is describing as the foundation of the Malaysian ethnicity, else the idea is not going to be materialized.
56) Najib: Malay was owed for 446 years (2006) Najib once against highlight the effort to protect ¡°Ketuanan Melayu¡± and ¡°Agenda Melayu¡± will not stop until their last blood. He then emphasize that Malay ethic was owed for 446 years since the british colonial days
57) 68 Hindu Temple Demolished in 8 months (2006) The members of HINDRAF (Hinda Rights Action Force) gathered outside the parliament to protest on the issue of 68 hindu temple being demolished within 8 months. The HINDRAF leader urged the government to stop this act and will do anything to ensure no more temples is being demolish. Other than Hindu Temples, there are also hundreds of Chinese temples being demolished over the year, e.g. Tou Mu Kong in Penang. Derisively, there is no similar case happening in Kelantan, which is under the ruling of PAS.
58) 600Million Development Fund Paid to UMNO District Office It is believe that the decision to allocate the RM600 million development funds has not been discussed in the parliament. Pak Lah only told the press that the development fund will be use for rural area development, but he did not highlight that the fund will be paid to UMNO district office. The fund is part of the RM1.5 billion allocate for village development under 10th Malaysia Plan.
59) Zainuddin: Military members fought against Japan Army during WW2 are communist (2006) Zainuddin Maidin is not satisfied with the building of memorial in remembrance of the heroes who fought against Japanese army during the war world 2 periods. He described the heroes as communist. These heroes protected the people from Japanese army¡¯s cruel treatment; some of them even sacrificed their own life during the battle against the Japanese army. According to historian, the military force against the Japanese army cannot be tag as communist.
60) NS Bus Supplier Profits from Overcharged (2007) The middlemen who arrange buses for NS Members are overcharging their service. The government paid them RM700 for 1 bus; they then pass the service to other bus driver by paying them RM300. Some of the bus driver even complained that the middlemen did not pay them. The press describe this phenomenon as ¡°Normal¡± as it is happening in most of the government project. The company which gets the government project will normally out source their project to other company and then benefit from the turnover. This happening causes the government to pay more money as compensation or remedy because many of the projects are failure e.g. Parliament Renovation Project, MRR2 Flyover and many more, those project should be label as ¡°SATU LAGI PROJEK BARISAN NASIONAL¡±
61) EPF Spent 15 million to takeover 700k worth company (2007) EPF proposed to spend RM15 million in orders to takeover a financial threaten company which only cost RM700000. However, the stockholders refuse to sell the company and clarify that the ¡°representative¡± of the company who communicate with EPF was no longer the CEO of the company. The effectiveness of EPF is highly questionable; they did no investigation and inspection of the company as well as the ¡°representative¡± before any takeover proposal.
62) Highway Agreement Revealed (2007) The highway agreement is finally revealed. The simple agreement did not include any terms which can determine the charges of the highway, such as the traffic volume.
