Supercharger can provide a fast respond than a turbo, as you mention that turbo has turbo lag. If you compare to supercharger, the highest power can be achieved from turbo. A turbo can be changed to bigger sizes but supercharger has limited. The reason is supercharger driven by a belt connected thru a pulley. You could change the pulley sizes but that would be a limited.
The best combination supercharge and turbo charger. But this is not easy to be done.
